About Dewey Management Systems
Craig Dewey is a Certified Lead Auditor in ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) as well as an Independent Accredited Verifier for the Golf Environmental Organization (GEO Foundation).
Vision
Craig believes a formal, systematic approach to environmental management, sustainability and stewardship is vastly needed within the golf industry.
Craig’s vision is one of instilling the concepts of an Environmental Management System (EMS) into golf courses and clubs across North America. An EMS, being very complimentary to the GEO International Certification criteria, will:
Enable a club to recognize and minimize its environmental impacts
Maximize environmental improvements
Maintain credibility and accountability with the community and regulators
Ensure that local environmental compliance is understood and maintained.
Profile
Craig attended GEOSA (Golf Environmental Organization Sustainability Associate) training at Congressional Golf Club, Bethesda MD, has a Certification in Maintaining Golf Courses from the University of Guelph and holds a BA from Acadia University, Wolfville, Nova Scotia. Craig is a certified Lead Auditor in ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 20000.
